What the heck LOLphins?
LOLphins was the uncreative brainchild of =OrcaAmbition after she spent FAR too many hours giggling over LOLcats on icanhascheezburger.com. We are under the impression that cetaceans, specifically all the types of dolphins in this case, are far superior to cats and through our submissions, we will prove our theory right! LOLphins FTW!
Joining LOLphins
Easy as 1, 2, 3! See?
1. Befriend LOLphins - watch evvvvverything! That means scraps too, just in case. If you haven't befriended LOLphins, you will not be a member until you do so!
2. Send a note to LOLphins with "Join" in the subject. If you don't send a note, but befriend LOLphins, then you're pretty much going to just watch us and not be a member, so make sure to do both!
3. Be active! This doesn't necessarily mean you have to submit a ton, but make sure to leave comments or faves on the appropriate page! Involvement FTW!
Submissions
Submitting to LOLphins is easy as well.
You have the choice of uploading it to dA and sending us that link to which we will link back OR upload it to imageshack.us (or something like it) if you don't want LOLphins in your gallery and we'll just upload it and give you credit without LOLphins clogging your gallery.
Either way, send a note to LOLphins with "Submission" as the subject and provide a link through dA or imageshack.us or another site like it. Provide photographer/artist info if the photo or art is not your own! And MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO USE IT! If not we will probably give you a warning, then remove you if you do it again.
Rules
Just a few to keep things orderly.
1. Assuming most photos will be from a captive environment as opposed to a wild environment, absoloutely NO anti-captivity remarks will be tolerated! These will be reported and the remarks will be hidden.
2. On that same subject, do not submit LOLphin deviations that are anti-captivity. You know, the poor whale in captivity sort of thing. If you submit them, we will simply reply to the note in whcih it was sent and explain why it will not be submitted to LOLphins. This should be easy to understand.
3. Be nice! No remarks saying a LOLphin deviation is stupid. That's just silly and plain ol' uncalled for! We will slap u wit our feesh on teh no3s!

Possible Ideas
Since I can't afford a domain nor can work on a site that is the equivalent of icanhascheezburger.com, but I do love that each of their LOLcats have a tag on them stating where they came from, I was thinking of making a logo to be put on LOLphins. It's small and tucked at the bottom, but if people start stealing, we'll know the originating source and be able to shun the stealers! Yes/No?
If yes, can anyone do a small pixelwork of a dolphin? 'Cause I'd mess up hardcore.
